Historical Fiction Author
BIOGRAPHY
Greetings, and thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
I am an author specialising in historical fiction, and my family background traces back to the Land of the Rising Sun. My mother used to share with us many stories of her samurai ancestors, and those early narratives helped shape my lifelong fascination with Japan’s history and culture.
For the past two decades, I have lived in the United Kingdom, leveraging my background in Economics in roles spanning finance and IT. Over the course of my life, I have been fortunate to live in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Japan, and Brazil. These multicultural experiences have deepened my understanding of different customs and perspectives, and they have shaped me into a more rounded individual.
I firmly believe that ignorance is one of the root causes of prejudice, and I hold great reverence for tradition, because it carries a people’s history and heritage. Every nation has a captivating past, and every culture carries a distinctive legacy that deserves respect.
History has always captivated me, as evidenced by my overflowing bookshelves, my Kindle library, and my Audible folders—filled with historical books and novels alike. I simply cannot get enough of them. I am also an avid traveller, often choosing destinations inspired by the historical books I have devoured.
Writing has been a lifelong passion of mine, beginning in childhood and continuing into adulthood. After years of attempts and refinement, I finally felt confident enough to share my work with others, which led me to publish my writing. Reading and writing have always been a source of comfort during challenging times; and while some might view this as escapism, I firmly believe that reading or writing can never become a harmful addiction.
The Goddesses of Japan is a book I wrote in honour of my late father, Youzi. When I was seven years old, he would regale me at bedtime with tales of Creation and Ancient Japan, and those stories sparked the curiosity that stayed with me. I made it my mission to one day bring these narratives to a wider audience through my own writing.
I sincerely hope that my readers take as much pleasure from reading my books as I take from writing them. Each month, I send a newsletter to my readers, which serves as a blog of sorts. Every edition includes a short article on an intriguing topic, book recommendations, and links to websites where you can download free eBooks or purchase them at discounted prices.
If you would like to receive my newsletter, please leave your name and email address in the footer box. Alternatively, you can visit the Contact Us page and leave a message there. I would be delighted to hear your thoughts and to learn more about you.
Until we meet again—farewell.
